Cape of Evaporating Hope / Cape of Good Hope
This documentary is one that 14 other students, my professor Liam O’Brien, and I created over winter break in 2017-2018 while in Cape Town, South Africa. It focuses on the water crisis of that time, where it was almost certain Cape Town would hit “Day Zero,” or a day where they would officially run out of clean drinking water. Throughout our two weeks on ground, we gathered footage of the city, the V&A Waterfront, and interviews with locals, scientists, inventors, farmers, and meteorologists. We were tasked with running shoots and interviewing people, while also gathering b-roll and learning how to work as a film crew on a documentary set.
After we returned to Quinnipiac University, each team-member was given an act to edit. I also became the colorist for the entirety of the documentary.
Key roles: camerawoman, interviewer, editor, colorist.
Kruger National Park Wildlife Mini-Doc 2018
This mini-documentary was filmed with the same group that went to Cape Town over the winter break of 2017-2018.
This film, though, focuses on animal and wildlife conservation in places teeming with colorful species. A hefty percentage of the footage shown in this documentary was taken my myself, and the rest, my fellow classmates.
Key role: camerawoman.
